FAQ

Are your 3d printable files designed for FDM or Resin?

I use both Resin and FDM printers in my process and the STL files can be use in either type of Slicer program. For Resin I use Lychee and for FDM Bambu Studio. I will sometimes include a slicer project file along with the STL and I will state in for what program that is intended for.

Resin and FDM printing take different approaches to their printing and have different requirements so please familiarise yourself with your machines requirements and procedures. For example drainage holes are something you may have to add to an STL in order to get a good print with Resin.

Why do you supply your Print on Demand models mainly in white and unpainted?

My models are intended for those that want to customise their masks. I can paint the models if you like but as itโ€™s a time and cost prohibitive and dependent on each job. I would ask that you get in touch with the contact form first.

Why not in Grey?

Itโ€™s an aesthetic thing really. White I find looks best when hanging in the wall unpainted and is infact what I do why my own personal models. Iโ€™m a big fan of classical sculpture. You could always paint them as the Greeks and Roman used to do. However if there is a demand…

I have found a filament/Resin that I really want you to print my model in can you do it?

Short answer. Yes. Get in touch and we’ll discuss the details, there will be additional cost to bring in the stock your require but it can be done.

Where can I find Paints?

At this stage I am not recommending one supplier over another. Do not supply paints myself. Iโ€™m an animator by day so I am trying to keep things simple. I would start with Amazon. I like to use a variety of paints and will do a video on my preferences.

Can I offer you designs to my customers or use them on my print farm?

I am looking at making partners for my products around the world so do get in touch so we can arrange something.

Can I resell your designs?

No. These designs are for your own personal use. See above and the Terms of Service Page.

Do you do commissions?

Yes. Both for the Sculpts and animation so do leave a message via the contact form.

Do you recommend a specific printer or a method of printing over another? Bambu vs Prusa, Resin vs FDM

I use both Resin and FDM in my process and as to a particular model and make Iโ€™m not a reviewer. I would recommended youtubers Uncle Jessy or Fauxhammer for a start.

A Word about AI From Zig The CoinOP Animator

CoinOP is proud to be a creator that pushes human creativity and originality over mass produced “knock offs”.  I ask that you do not submit our data including pictures, 3d models, videos for AI training.  In doing so you are supporting those who’s intent is to steal our designs and resell them whilst charging the rest of us for the privilege. If you are happy with your art being consumed by this tech then that is your choice. We choose to create human works of art that remain an expression of what it is to be alive.

I do encourage you to take pictures and post them to your socials I love seeing how my work looks out in the world and if you do how about tagging me in so I can like and share them too. (@coinopanimator is my handle on all my socials)

Maybe you want a mask in the style of me then ask (contact form or via socials) – There is usually a way to figure something out. I often take no-fee commissions just because I love the project.

Remember creating is not a chore, it’s a wonderful thing no matter your skill level. It’s something we do to make sense for the world. For some its a necessity to stop from going insane. There is something truly magical and takes us out of ourselves if only for a moment and that’s a feeling that I want you to experience. Making art is like building sand castles on the beech on a sunny day, creation is the journey, creation itself is the art – what comes out at the end is almost a by-product.

I hope you enjoy these models as much as I did making and printing them and stay strong. Zig The CoinOP Animator
